Conversation Club
Get together with other students and share YOUR ideas in a friendly and supportive atmosphere!
Offered once a month: 4 pm – 5pm
All levels are welcome and encouraged to
join
Minimum: 5 students
Maximum: 15 students
Students participate in:
- Pair work
- Group discussions
Topics
range from entertainment to romance to politics to cultural
similarities and differences. Students work together under the guidance
of the teacher to research and prepare the topics.
Idioms and Reading Clubs
Come have a chance to learn vocabulary and
reading skills under the watchful eye of one of
SEC’s knowledgeable teachers!
- The structure of Academic Clubs:
- Ice Breaker / Introduction
- Presentation and explanation of material
- Students work with partners / small groups to complete tasks
- Students can ask questions or present language problems and get clear, easy explanations.

Resume Club
The resume club gives students the chance to learn about different kinds and styles of resumes. They learn about the importance of a well written cover letter and they touch on how to act in an interview setting. The leader of the club is available to answer questions and check over students resumes for them.
