Young,
enthusiastic, energetic individuals are eligible to apply for the
program. Individuals should be high school graduates at least 19 years
of age.

What English level should I have in order to qualify for the program?
Students need to be at an intermediate English language level.

What kind of employment should I be expecting?
Students
must be flexible with job selection. Students will be placed in
positions in accordance with their skills, including past job
experience as well as language skills. Students must keep in mind that
the positions are entry level, and may vary from kitchen help, to
office help. (The positions will depend on the season and availability).

Where will my job be located?
The
jobs will be located in either Toronto or Vancouver, depending where
you choose to study. The precise location of the job placement will be
determined at a later date.

What if I don't like my job or position?
Students
are asked to be prepared for a variety of positions, however, if the
student decides that he/she does not wish to continue in the job
placement due to dissatisfaction with the work placement – students
will not qualify for a refund.

How much will I earn at the job?
Students
should expect to earn minimum wage at the work placement, from CND $8 –
CND $12/hour. However, this will depend on the field of work as well as
the position.

How many hours will I work during a day?
Positions are full-time; therefore students should be prepared to work full days. However, some positions may have shifts.

Where can I live during my work placement?
Students
will be responsible to find their own accommodation. Students can rent
rooms, apartments, and may also live in staff accommodations at
resort/golf courses, camps, (where applicable), etc.

What type of clothes should I wear at my job?
The
dress code will depend on the position and the place of employment.
Some positions will require a uniform; others will require a business
casual dress code.
