VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

SEC Internal and External Volunteer Program:

All SEC students have the opportunity to join our Internal Student Services Volunteer Program, or volunteer their services outside the school in one of the many Non-Profit Organizations around Toronto.

Internal Volunteer Option:


It is a great opportunity to meet new people, get involved in school life
and of course practice your English! You will represent the student
body at SEC.

 All volunteers:

  • Help plan and lead some of the activities at SEC.
  • Offer administrative and clerical support to SEC staff.

 What students will receive:

  • Letter of recommendation from SEC.
  • SEC volunteer certificate.


External Volunteer Option:


For any students who wish to volunteer around the Toronto area. SEC will counsel students based on (a) interest and (b) availability. Students will be placed in one of our many partner organizations. Should you have a specific group in mind to volunteer at, we will try our best to arrange it.

External Volunteers will be in charge of a variety of duties such as clerical, IT work, companionship, and fundraising support.

What students will receive:

  • Letter of recommendation from the organization
          (upon request).
  • SEC volunteer certificate.

Requirements:

  • Students will need to be at least low intermediate English level.
  • Some positions may require to submit specific documents; criminal record check, immunization record, etc.
  • Resume & cover letter.
  • Commitment to a specific length of time (may vary depending on organization & position).
